Fireplace design for living room
Remove all photos and plan to add a gas fireplace and put the 50" TV above it. Would like cabinet on left side to hold TV items. Possibly a small seating area on right side? Want a traditional or contemporary look. Don't want typical shelves on each side that look the same. Want something a bit different and unique! Room is next to dining area. Help!! Current arrangement attached. Thanks!

decoenthusiaste Here are some contemporary ideas and one a bit more traditional.

Denice Shuty I love those angled ceilings, really play that up. If you can, do one flooring material throughout both rooms. A big wall unit will help to better define the two spaces and make each feel cozier, while still being airy.

Interiors International, Inc. I like the idea of going contemporary with this space. The angled ceilings lend themselves better to this style. I also feel that an asymmetrical look is a better idea.
