Nedd help with lighting over farmhouse table
Just finished making a large farm table and need help with lighting ...our kitchen is white with brushed nickle school house pendants over the bar- I'm concerned about mixing finishes but I can find much with brushed nickle...
The 1st photo is the BEFORE picture-showing the proximity of the lighting in the kitchen and the 2nd photo is the AFTER with the new table (minus the bench) help!

carole you could the same as you did over the breakfast bar and have 2 or even 3 lamps over the table...
there is ,like you say, A LOT of choice....but would keep it siple shapes if you do decide to opt for 2or 3

njmomma Nickle farmhouse may a little hard to find. Try thinking outside the box. Some inspiration pics below.

Kelly I love this one from Pottery Barn......I think with your glass doors you want something that doesn't stop the eye.

DIAspoton what a wonderful table. the suggestions above are all very good.

my first thought was antique glass or mercury glass. the farm table conjurs a comfortable feeling for gathering family and friends. anything too bright or showy would interrupt that mood.

Carolyn Albert-Kincl Design A black iron chandelier would work well with your brushed nickel and fits in well with your farmhouse table. The first one below may be too large, but it at least gives you an idea of what might work. The second shows a wooden chandelier that works with your table top. It would be easy to paint the candle parts black, or they could remain as they are. You can take liberties with finishes when they are removed by distance from the brushed nickel pieces. I also like the rope and black iron chandelier in the third photo. The last photo shows a nearly white chandelier with a nice French look.

Gabberts Design Studio Take a look at these two ideas!!! I love this Egg Basket Chandelier but it is always fun to mix a little contemporary in with rustic as well!
