Help Needed with Stone/Buff Mortar Combination Re-modelling
My builders messed up with Stone/Buff Mortar combination. It looks extremely dull now. Looking for some help to add some life back to this. Not looking to replace stone but may be with some slight change of Buff mortar color/filling between the stones or add some decorative bricks can make it look better.

Appreciate some expert advise and any recommendation if someone can help fix this guaranteed, and located nearby Plano/Frisco (DFW, Texas) area with least possible cost, please let me know.

rinqreation I think it looks great, but I'm not an expert.

Eurocerob I also think it looks great . Maybe it is just the brick that is overwhelming the stone and it looks disproportionate and with too much contrast in between . I would try to apply -- at this stage -- a color enhancer on a stone leftover piece and see how it looks . This should be done by a pro and needs other considerations -- like if ventilated facade technique was used , breathable sealer , etc. -- , but it may work to bring some '' life '' out of the stones .

Over all I think the mortar used is the right choice .

sheikhaa Please look at the other house picture right across the street see the difference in look & feel. Appreciate if any pointers on how this can look look alike this other house or close to it?

sheikhaa Also, how much will it cost to add a little bit of stone around the two windows on the right hand side ? May be that can help proportion it better.

sheikhaa Is there a pro in DFW area (Plano/Frisco/Dallas) who can come take a look and provide some idea to make it look better? Appreciate some contacts/references. It is a newly built house so I don't expect spending much on it.

Eurocerob I would say that your house lacks inconsistency around the windows and the feel of the right wall -- ''naked'' --. There is definitely work to do around them on the right side wall from the main entrance . I don't think you have a bad concept , like I said yours look great , but now if you compare with others , the only change -- least possible cost --I would do is to '' frame '' -- stone -- the windows appropriately .

rinqreation I like yours even better than the other side of the street!
The only thing I see off, is the different window edges. And maybe the white windows being just a bit too white.
A large (white/yellow) rambler between the windows on the right side will bring more balance. Or get the window on the right side done in stone like the one on the left. You should want your house to look balanced, not look like the neighbour's (no offense).
