Contemporary interior in Colonial house?
So here's the deal: I'm a contemporary girl living in a colonial home, so I'm keen on having a contemporary interior. We completely renovated the kitchen (my favorite room!), and my husband is now eyeing to change all doors and frames to something more modern: they are currently the traditional 6-pane colonial, and he wants to have smooth contemporary. I'd love to, also, but I think they wouldn't look good, given the style of the house (notwithstanding what we did in the kitchen). I'm leaning towards the change, though, but have mixed feelings. Any thoughts?
