Tub/ Shower or Shower
I have a master bathroom that is 8'x8'. Currently I have a toilet and vanity on one side and a combination tub/bath on the other with a 32" built-in cabinet.

Do I leave the tub shower combo and just try to upgrade it? Or, do I gut the tub and just put in a large shower? (There is not enough room to put in a nice separate tub and shower.)

There is a guest bath just outside of the master which has a tub shower combination which will be staying.

tess_107 Only one tub required for good resale value. I say loose the tub too.

boundarybaybetty I just went thru this myself. Firstly identify if you really want to keep/use a tub. If so you could use a free standing tub (5'), placed In the corner at a 90 deg angle from the old tub/shower.

Interiors International, Inc. Big shower it is better for livability and style. It will also add to resale.

carrmichael83 I am most concerned with resale as I will be else where within the 5 year plan and probably sooner than later.

More comments are still welcomed.

Jennifer Walters They have awesome pre-fab walk-in showers at any local home improvement store. I'd go for ripping it out and giving the walk-in a go. Tile the walls and opt for glass doors and walls to make the room feel more open and larger. Good luck!
