Doria Tremante I have a pair of lamps very similar to this except they are gold. I fell in LOVE with them and had to have them - I however, only paid $5 for each at an estate sale. I lucked out. This looks like its a little heavier quality than the ones I have. I think $65 is a little much - but I also am one that if I can't stop thinking about something I better grab it because you don't want to regret it later!

Barnhart Gallery This is the sort of piece that sets a space apart from the rest. If you love him, incorporate him. And don't feel like he has to match everything around him. He'll stand out even more.

Katherine Marle_Moberg I don't think that $65 for an unusual lamp is too much. However, you need a new shade which could add expense, but you will have a very nice and unusual lamp. I would have snapped it up.

pollyannagal The shade is all wrong, but if you love the base and keep thinking about it then I would say it's worth however much you can afford to pay. You could pay an awful lot more for something very ordinary.

lefty47 HI -- I love the lamp - for sure my style - but not the right shade - needs more pagoda style silk shade or a natural linen texture. Not so sure the walls behind are the best backdrop for this piece. Maybe that's what is throwing your Husband off. Husbands almost never like this style - don't know why. Take hubby to a lighting store and see what he likes and maybe let him have the one he likes for in his own area of the house , then both of you will be happy. $ 65. doesn't seem to be a bad price - at least in my city .
