Hiding tv cord
We have tile in the kitchen and my husband decided he wanted a small tv in there. It's very modern and now all I see is wires is there a box to cover wires that looks intentionally designed? I originally had a toaster over there but managed to hide it. without major construction, any ideas. this is the last of our redesigning our house and to see this in the kitchen is killing me. So I am trying to find a compromise....the 2nd picture is before we added knobs to the upper fake cabinets

Katherine Marle_Moberg I heard that there are now some "remote" wiring gadgets that electricians and home electronic buffs are using to reduce wiring like this. I would go to Radio Shack and look on line for such devices. Is your husband the cook in this lovely new kitchen? Is that why he wants a TV? Why not an iPad or other pad of that type that could be used for the same purpose without wiring?

borisvanzeijst Indeed , why don,t you buy a big tablet ? than you have wireless Tv , by computer.
noa wires needed, only at night recharge batteries.

ASVInteriors How about creating a box to place it in. Like an inverted tray. You could drill a hole in the back for the cord and place the tray in front of the plug. The the tv inset in the tray,as if it was a frame around it with a negative joint

Sicora, Inc. A couple of thoughts.... Are there undercabinet lights existing? If so, you could purchase a "fold down" type of tv, tap into power from the undercabinet wiring to add a shallow box in the wall of the upper cabinet and you should be ready to go... If no undercabinet lighting exists, an electrician could create a junction box in the upper cabinet and create an outlet that way, also. good luck!

ranismom1 Thank you all SO much for your comments. I'm going to look up remote wiring 1st. I didn't know that existed.

The glasses are above the TV. The fake cabinets are on the very top where the soffits are.

I am the main cook. My husband works long hours and only uses the TV at night when he "snacks" at night. It's the only request he had. I would love to get a TV that folds but they are really small usually. (Sicora, Inc), do you know of any larger tv's that fold?

Thanks again everyone.
