Exterior Brick and Stone Colors
Looking for advice on exterior brick and stone color combinations (and trim as well). The stone choices range from yellow tinted white to tan - the brick choices are far more expansive. Any suggestions?

Dytecture Is this a new construction or are you changing an existing house ?

Mantikos Sorry should've mentioned - new construction

Carolyn Albert-Kincl Design I suggest you look through some of the 30,862 photos that houzz has of brick and stone exteriors. Go to the search box above right, enter "brick and stone exteriors" and then to right where it says "discussions", click to change it to "photos". Then click on search. Have fun! Then when you can show us some houses you like and we can help advise you trim colors.

Mantikos I did - I like the white and grey brick colors...but am unsure of whether they'll go with a light yellow tinted stone and sandstone colored windows.
Also, curious what brick color is considered "in" right now.

Carolyn Albert-Kincl Design Can you show us pictures of the stone and some of the brick colors you're considering please?

Carolyn Albert-Kincl Design Raveen, inmy post above about the houzz photos, I mistakenly suggested you look at "brick exteriors" while what I meant to say was "brick and stone exteriors". I have corrected the entry above but want to apologize to you for the mistake.

Mantikos Here are the stone options - for bricks we can pretty much pick anything from ACME's brick.com

Carolyn Albert-Kincl Design Is limestone one of the stone choices? If so, it mixes nicely with a lot of brick colors. But, basically, if you select a stone that has some color in it, you should look for a brick with some of that same color in it, but in a darker shade than the stone has.

Mantikos Unfortunately limestone isn't a choice (I would have so loved for it to be).
Thanks for the pointer - let me ask you this - would a whiter brick work with the stone from the house on the upper left?

Carolyn Albert-Kincl Design Since that stone appears quite light, I would prefer a darker brick, not a dark brick, just noticeably darker than the stone.

Carolyn Albert-Kincl Design However, here's a house I like with fairly light stone and a lighter brick.

Mantikos Awesome - I was looking at the stone from the upper left and this shade of brick:

Carolyn Albert-Kincl Design Hugh does a lot of nice work, but I don't know which house you're referring to. The photo did not post.

Mantikos I found out the names of the stone and brick

Does Austin Stone go with Acme's Sagebrush brick?

Carolyn Albert-Kincl Design If Austin Stone is the off white limestone that many houses, including my own, are made of in the central Texas area, then it would go with almost any brick you could name except some blue/grey/white brick that I've never seen!

Our house is Texas limestone, which is probably the same thing as Austin stone inasmuch as we live in Austin, and we have accents of Old Chicago Brick.
