princess_q We have actually decided to go with the Kingsman fireplace with all black louvers. We will replace the logs with a ribbon, surrounded by bronze coloured glass stones that have a light kit underneath. The stones look grey not really bronze. So you think this will modernize the traditional look of the fireplace or is this a waste of money to upgrade to?

If you are going for modern, my money would be on the Lennox which has cleaner lines and is a lot less fussy.

olldbobbi I prefer the Lennox, but I think the Kingsman will be fine with all black louvers. It was the two color louvers that was throwing it off.

princess_q ASVInteriors - The lennox does not come with out the traditional brick interior. I was mistaken and thought that it would come in an all black interior

olldbobbi - The two colour louvers threw me off too...luckily doing all black louvers is a standard option

JWinteriors Solid black will hold to your contemporary feel. How you wish to see your flames is all personal taste, whether it is with logs or fire coming out of glass stones.
