Scale proportions for a large foyer
I have a wall that is 131" long. I want to put a 68" console along the wall. I have 2 mirror options to go over the console...1 is 97"x 42.5" the other is 60x40. Would it look bad if I used the big long mirror, whihc will be larger than the console and only leave l about 1.5 feet on either side of the mirror. I was going to put 2 chairs on either side of the cosole as well...

egpolkes Thank you getting back to me. I decided that the mirror should be smaller than the console...I "staged" it at the furniture store...I'll post a pic when it is complete!
