Need ideas for plants on terrace in NYC
looking for plants that are hardy enough to endure the winters in NY and are always green, but not evergreens, thanks for any ideas you can share

susanfischer it is a large terrace in the shape of a square, it has nothing on it now, faces north and east, just want some ideas on appropriate plants for NYC that are hardy enough to get through the winter and stay green all year long and possibly flower, i am from california, so weather is not a problem, i have to use pots for planting, thanks, susan
