Dining room drapries
I have 13 yds of silk fabric in a gold color. This fabric has french knots scattered all over in a darker browner gold. What kind of draprey would make the best use- visually-of this kind of fabric. I have 2 windows side by side in mny dining room, these windiows are 8' and 6 ' wide.

dalma darling Your fabric sounds elegant, I'd love to see the dining room to know where this fabric will go. With the windows next to one another, I'd suggest flanking the sides with the silk drapes. This room has a lot going on, but I thought the draperies were a good example if you have enough fabric. Debra Campbell Design

I like how in this room the silk drapes are just on the side of each window with a simple shade that comes down for privacy. 2011 Dream Home Bedroom at Merchandise Mart

JMittman Designs Can you get more fabric? Unfortunately you don't have enough to make stationary panels look good for that width window. How tall are they? The way I see it, you only have enough fabric for one window, or MAYBE one and a half window.

G Flowerlady My wall and windows are only large enough for 2 panels. Each panel will be a whole width of fabric. I also have silouette shades mounted inside each window. The silk fabreic is very beautiful and has such a nice hand-kind of papery-it seems a shame to just put 2 panels. I will take a picture of the wall and post it. the room faces north and if I can get decent pictures with the light I will post more. thanks for you input!

JMittman Designs I understand. For your reference--in the above photo posted--the gray bedroom, those windows are probably no more than 3 feet wide and have double widths of fabric on each side, in addition to shades. See how full and plush they are? One width on windows your size will not give you this look--if that is what you wanted.
