Paint built-ins?
Can I paint these built-ins the color of the wall? or a step darker and glaze? Behind the photographer is the kitchen with dover white cabinets and a wood island- and the floors are now provencial stain- Can't decide! Also, this is not my furniture...

rinqreation Is your funiture already in place? If not, I'd wait and choose after the room is decorated. It's a bit more work because you'll need to cover some up when sanding, but I think those built-ins look wonderful with the rest of the woodwork. What is it you dislike?

Barnhart Gallery You certainly can, but I have to say I like that it flows with all of your beefy white trim. Neither is a bad choice.
