Replacing queen rice-carved poster bed
We want to have a lower more standard height bed...the box spring currently is 19" from floor, so we need stools to get into and out of bed. We also want to go to a king size. We would like to keep the painting above the headboard area. Bed is flanked by tall windows, where I'm considering plantation shutters. Furniture is traditional, including an antique cherry highboy set of drawers. We like the idea of a four poster but they all seem to come at an extreme mattress height.
