Ironwood Builders We almost always use an isolation membrane like Schluetter Systems. As for grout, we use Custom for the most part. Good color selection, easy to source, available with Microban. We don't use that though, too controversial around here.

basiajj Microban- what is this and why is controversial ? Please explain. Thank you.

AMN Microban is the trade name for triclosan, an antibacterial agent that is/was added to a ton of products. It is controversial because (1) people are concerned about how safe it truly is, and (2) the already-occurring problems caused by overuse and improper use of antibacterial/antibiotics--super-strains of highly resistant bacteria.

It is extra controversial in ironwood's neck of the woods because, if I'm not mistaken, he's located in the more environmentally-aware Northern California area.

basiajj Could you please advise what is the best choice for the floor in the garage. This is the new project. Painting of the floor in the previous house did not work any suggestion for much durable and easy to maintain finish. Thank you in advance.
