Front door style ideas?
In a year or so, we will be replacing our front steel door installed by the builder 18 years ago. The wood framing is rotting in spots, which is the reason of this project. I want to get a fiberglass door, and can't decide of a wood grain style, or a smooth painted style. The current door is at the bottom of the list. I played around and created different options. Any thoughts at which you think fits better with the style of house? If I get a painted door, not sure of the color. The siding in the back of the house is a cream color.

rinqreation The house has a fairly large square front, so a classic rich color in high gloss such as deep red, black or navy blue will look great.

diyher thanks, red is my worst liked color :D Not sure about navy blue either. A lot in our neighborhood have either a red, green, white, brown, black and some with wood. Right now all the other edges around the roof etc are painted white. If we painted that a color, that would mean all the rain gutters too, so in a dilemma about that. I've seen certain off white tanish colors in trim go well with black. The roof is quite high, so that would mean we would have to pay someone to paint instead of us doing it. Can't afford that right now.

rinqreation I meant just the doors :) I like the white trims as they are.

diyher I know :) I was thinking out-loud lol. We had the option to have them painted other than white when the house was built, but just went with white to make it easy. I drove around my neighborhood today on the way back home from shopping. I was surprised at how many have the glass doors similar to the ones in the links
The house actually isn't square like it looks here. I didn't photograph the 3car garage on the right and the room above it. So its actually wider than what you see here :)
