Need ideas for decor ideas for living room
I would truly appreciate any suggestion on decor and furniture ideas. I have the Kensington Sofa, recliner and the Mariner Lamp from Restoration Hardware. I dont want to go entirely for the Restoration Hardware look but want to make it more warm.

coratan First of all I would look for a rug. It's to bad you can't put your tv above the fireplace. Because it's such a focal point. Some art work with warm colors.

pcmom1 Can the tv be moved on to the wall where the sofa now is? If so, I would do it and place sofa where tv is! That way the tv isn't competing with the fireplace, is out of the line of sight from the entry. Much nicer to look at sofa with great art above!

I would put the chair to the area in the bottom of the picture and anchor the whole seating area with a rug. In the spot where the chair is now I would put a round ottoman on casters. This would give you more seating to pull over, but be low and not block the view out the window.

Dezign Studio Inc Is it possible to place the recliner on the other side of the floor lamp, as it seems to be blocking the entryway. Could you show the third angle of the living room. you need art above the sofa, a rug, may be 8' x 5', a narrow longer unit below TV, same as the length of the TV.

Carolina Photo To Go LLC I would choose some unique artwork or photography first and then decide on the area rug so you can incoporate some of the color from your selection in the area rug. Park and West Gallery has an online site that you can browse. They handle well known artists and you can perhaps make a selection that might go up in value. They are on a lot of the well known cruise lines such as Royal Caribean too- you could cruise and attend an art show!

If you would like something unique and perhaps less expensive, check out Etsy.com. They are a website with shop owners from the US and all over the world. You can input what you like in the search engine such as photography coastal or Paris, Horses. They also have decorator pillows available. I have a photography shop on there, nancyhehmann.

Have fun! I love your room and furniture. You are off to a good start!

curacaoblue The biggest thing that sticks out to me is the recliner. It looks like its really in the way. It looks like you were in the process of moving it and decided to leave it there temporarily. It's blocking the whole room. What is on the other side of the couch?

Kelly I love this room. It is layered pieces that I think go well with the start you have.
