What color should I paint the front door? I need a change!
We just bought this house in June 2012. The front door was white and I painted it this color, Sherwin-Williams Copper Mountain. I've decided that I don't like it anymore but have no idea what is going to look good with brown siding and the pale trim.

jjdesignkloos What a lovely house, and beautiful lot!
Personally, I love the colour you chose. But it's not up to me, is it? :)
Did you do a search on Houzz? I typed in "brown house" in the search window under Photos, where there are 112 photos. Lots of ideas there: shades of green, yellow, black, cream, red, etc. I think something in the "blue" family --maybe a teal, or aqua.

zennifer Dark Blue or Deep Plum. Will look GREAT!

lefty47 HI -- Love your house. This year " Emerald Green " Pantone " Emerald 17 - 5641 is the color . I think that would look very classy . Also think the window frames or the shutters should have a dark color like Benjamin Moore "Metropolis CC 546 " or " Willow CC-542 "

CMR Interiors & Design Consultations Inc. Maybe a deep Coral. The shutter colors are not working for me. What color is your roof?

oneofeleven How about a glossy black? Every house needs a little black.

sms9758 I think something in the teal family would be fantastic. It appears you live in the north like I do and teal can really brighten up a look in the dreary months

dianahb I think a cobalt blue would be beautiful.

thewest8 I agree that the color you chose is nice. I think, however, that you didn't go bold enough with the copper bronze and that is why you bored of it so quickly. Search house for orange front doors and find one that is just a bit red-orange and bold. I think I saw one by Benjamin Moore just this morning. If you view all photos/styles and cities and search most recent, you will see one close to the top. Or, google image search orange front door. You will enjoy it in fall when it's festive, winter when all else is drab, spring and summer can be fun because you can
Plant some beautiful perennial's in orange!

Katina Thank you for your suggestions. I don't think changing the color of the trim or shutters will happen this summer as we have some expensive projects lined up already. I almost went with an eggplant instead of the copper but wasn't sure if it would look good. I'm going to get some swatches to try. I live in Northern Maine and its been one long winter! I can't wait for summer so I can start painting the door! Oh, someone asked, we have a black tin roof.

Katina Oops I mean dark brown tin roof!

Katina @rawketgrl, How did you make my door show up in blue? I love that and I want to try different colors.

Ironwood Builders Another vote for blue! Deep dark navy!

DIAspoton turquoise. it's fresh and welcoming.
what are you going to plant around the foundation?
Katina I'm not sure what to plant, currently there is crushed rock around the foundation in the front of the house. Lots of flowers along the sides and back of house.

JWinteriors I'm going to help you spend some money..right now, brighten up your orange if you want more punch. However, its all about the front entryway. Here is an excellent example of what could be done to welcome you and your family and friends. A grander entrance with wider steps and landscaping that ties in door color.

Katina This would be absolutely beautiful! I'm not sure if I can persuade my husband to spend the money. He wants to relocate to another area within the next year or two. :(
What a great idea though! I love it!

rawketgrl @katinaserra I used Paint Shop Photo Pro x3 to "paint" your door. Looks like you have some great suggestions here. What sounds true so far for you?
