Help!
We are remolding. Need ideas for exterior painting to help this house!!

houssaon This looks like a motel, not a home. Why are there fewer support posts on the lower level than the upper level? Have you had the home inspected?

judyg Painting is the last thing on the list of to-do's for this structure.

It looks abandoned and uninhabitable.

I'm fairly sure this post is a joke and a waste of any houzzers' time. If I am mistaken, please post other pictures and we will be glad to be of assistance.

jenm64 No its not a joke.. Like I said this is a redo.

Madeline @jenm64 I must say if it is not some sort of "gotcha" joke and this is truly a house which you wish to redo and sell, your response to judyg would have been much more passionate, and articulate, in your own defense. No one on here wants to offend anybody but neither do they want to waste their time. Do you want to provide more details? Or photos?

jenm64 I would love some ideas on this house but I didnt put it on here to be criticized. I do see this house looks like a joke or a redo nightmare. Inside actually has been redone and had lots of potential. The outside which had been pointed out needs lots of help. If anybody has some great ideas I would love to hear your ideas. Or any websites I could load a picture to and play with exterior colors. Thank you for your time.. Also details this was built in the 80s and then past owners enclosed garage to make like a mother in law quarters with separate kitchenette. Why it looks sooooo long. We were thinking painting house trim and balcony all one color.. Then pop color with shutters, door, and landscaping. Roof is charcoal gray.

Madeline Okay does the upstairs level have balconies off the front rooms? Is that the reason for the porch railings? If these were not working balconies I would say lose them and the railings. The upstairs will have to have shutters on the windows like the first floor. Which door is the main entrance? That door has to be made obvious perhaps by a walkway leading to it. And maybe building a small porch off of it. And Landscaping of course. There are a lot more clever people than I on this site who will help you and they'll come thru. Be patient.

judyg If directed at me, jenm64, there is a difference between questioning and criticizing.

I see one toilet exhaust pipe on the roof. Only one bathroom?

It is difficult to take your post seriously. Post more pictures, include interior renovations, please.

Thank you, madeline, for your neutralizing response. You have a skill….

CMR Interiors & Design Consultations Inc. You need real help. If you are going to make money on this flip. Because the curb appeal is seriously compromised. It won't even get a drive by online. Because it really does look like the Bates Hotel with a second level. Paint isn't the issue. You need a reasonably price architect to suggest doable changes. There is an amazing company on this site from Minneapolis that does the best work. Look them up. They can probably do an online consultation with you and make suggestions right away: http://www.sicora.com/
