Ideas for our bedroom
Have just redone our bedroom and built a separate WIR. Not sure what else it needs? Maybe wallpaper on a feature wall?

Kelly I am thinking your side tables are too small for the bed. I would hang two pieces of artwork or mirrors above them to give them some height. Then dress the tables with some bud vases and pops of color in the flowers. The lights create their own wallpaper effect- gorgeous. I would choose an accent color and add some colorful throw pillows. A soft teal or raspberry color would be pretty. Maybe a cool chandelier? The pics are for space inspiration, not colors or style.

Cathy Welman_Nolan The look that I think you already have is old Hollywood glam, and it's beautiful! The look is enhanced by the framed black and white print (Audrey Hepburn?). Try a row of smaller prints on the large wall to the right of the bed, in the same theme. Then add a touch of luxury with some lustrous silver / grey drapes. I think that the hanging lamps cast a beautiful soft light that would be lost with the addition of wallpaper. Agree with the suggestion of adding mirrors behind the pedestals to make them visually bigger. Try to find some with bevelled edges for that extra touch of class. I think that the room needs a small touch of soft colour - a pale shade of teal, grape or fuchsia would work. Take your chosen colour a shade darker for an accent wall behind the bed if you're into drama. Add a flowering orchid to each pedestal, a candle or two or maybe some antique silver ware and it's lights, camera, action ...

Cathy Welman_Nolan Oh yes - if ceiling height allows ... a crystal chandelier!

Vic S Thanks so much everyone - all fantastic ideas! Really appreciate it. Hadn't thought of adding height to the bedsides but agree they looked dwarfed by the bed. Had previously purchased fuchsia cushions for the bed, will add them now. We do have a modern chandelier in there (image attached).

JUL313 Gallery A painting would finish it out perfectly and really pop out your room. I have one called Manhattan that would really look great in there and I have several that I have just completed and I work on commission as well. Please check out my website at www.jul313.com or contact me at julie@jul313.com.
