Need budget-friendly ideas!
I am keeping the cabinets as is, but am changing out the hardware, countertop, flooring and backsplash. What combinations should I go with to complement the oak cabinets? I am on a tight budget.

Cancork Floor Inc. We will need a few more photos from different angles and a close up of the counter top....helps match things up. What is your design style? Ultra modern? Contemporary? Transitional? Conservative?

I looks as if there is some "blue" in the counter top. This could help you move in a certain direction. You could look at a floating floor that could go over that old flooring - keeps the demolition costs down. A high-end vinyl plank or a cork floating floor (sealed for the kitchen) would do very well. If there is blue in the counter top, you could look at some of the "slate" colours. A stone click-together floor would also work here (floating floor again). The flooring will be your "big ticket" item here so I would choose that first, and then go after the "finishings" once you've removed the flooring from your budget.

All of these floors below can be found at:

www.corkfloorsales.com (Canadian clients)

Just some ideas to get you started.

Dytecture I agree, slate floor tiles work best with tone in the oak cabinets you have.
