Pot Racks above an island in the kitchen: Yay or Nay?
I love to cook so mine would be functional and not ornamental. On the other hand, for those of you who have had pot racks, did you love them? I will have enough cabinet storage if I decide against a pot rack/light combo over the island.

BeautifulRemodel.com Hi Kristina,

Pot racks are very efficient if you use them frequently, and can look great too. However, they can block your line of sight, and feel precarious to be around if they're not placed correctly. With a few exceptions, I typically spec them for large islands only, scaled proportionately. I had them in my own home many years ago and loved it btw.

feeny I love the convenience of pot racks, but prefer them on walls near the stove.

Dytecture It could be a nice focal point depending on what you have hanging. Comes down to personal choice.
