House colors for tudor style house
Help! Im trying to pick paint colors for the exterior of my "tudor style" house. We have many beautiful tudor homes in our area but none look like mine. The brick is terra cotta color mexican brick and has a grey with some green roof. Also the previous owner replaced the windows with white vinyl windows. My house is having an identty crisis. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Then it hit me -- I like the whole thing in white/off white, with shutters and front door of your choice, keeping in mind the greenish roof. I think all white will help to simplify all that's going on. Not what I'd usually recommend for a tudor, but I think it's textural enough without an elaborate "color scheme."

When he called me to give him some ideas about finishing the house. I visited the site and saw that no siding had gone up yet. So we wound up with the lower portion of the house in stone and the second story in raised seam wood. To join the Garage to the house, we added an arched drive through to the back of the property. So now there is a covered walk on the first floor and the enclosed second floor is part of the Master Suite. All of the raised seam is an almost Charcoal Blue and the rest is a lighter color. Overall picking out the raised trim gave the house lots of detail.
