Stucco colours help
Hi. The part of the house that juts out in front will be vertical galvalume metal. The rest of the house will be stucco, including the front porch (which is not quite yet built, but can be seen in the photo of the drawings). I'm thinking of having the front porch (and another part of the house that sticks out the back but not in the pics) a different shade than the rest. I've chosen two greys, one lighter and one darker. Thoughts on whether to make the larger main portion darker, with the lighter stucco for the porch? Or should the lighter grey be the main colour, with the darker colour for the porch? I'm looking at pics and keep going back and forth. Also, any thoughts on eaves trough/fascia/soffit colour also being grey? We're also looking at black and white for these, but I'm not sure i want eaves troughs etc. contrasting so much? Thanks all!

watch4buses Also, ignore all the lines on the pic of the drawings. We were experimenting with the idea of using cement board panels instead of stucco, but budget has pretty much dictated stucco. We are looking at putting reveals in the stucco to break it up, but haven't landed on where those would go, if they go, yet. Tnx.

Dytecture 3D renderings would allow you to see various options first before deciding.

Ironwood Builders In the back, why add a different stucco color? For the shed roof bump out back there, how about using the same Galvalume as the front? Less confusion for the stucco guys and less opportunity for error....a consistent look. If you add color with the stucco I can see black and white trim working, but if the stucco tends towards grey or another less colorful surface, I think trim should introduce more color, more activity visually.

Ironwood Builders By eave troughs, do you mean gutters? I would do them and the downspouts to match the Galvalume....galvanized sheet metal with soldered joints.
