eztia You might have more success with a double curtain rod. Use a plain white drapery with blackout lining closest to the window, and choose a pretty pink fabric for the main drapery.

How about a heavy duty vinyl window shade that would be room darkening and easier and cheaper. If you need this to keep bright sun and daylight out so baby will sleep, remember that the words "room darkening" can be used by some companies where their product is more light dimming or light controlling and not darkening as you need.
rawketgrl I have thermal blackout liners on all my curtains because I could not afford to upgrade my windows in my last house and already had curtains that worked. It used liner fabric and Velcro and it works like a charm. Heat, light and cold stays out, energy bills are low, and it was inexpensive to do!
If that does not work find the curtains (any curtains) in the color you love and get black out liners, you can add them yourself, it is a kit.
