Help me finish this room!
This avocado green velvet sofa was my husband's grandmothers and I thought it was pretty cool. The table between the chairs was hers too, and I'd like to refinish it but not sure what finish or color to make it. Trunk was also in my family but I don't need to keep it in this room. Planning on getting a white shag rug, not sure about window treatments or coffee table. Also not sure if I should keep the mirror matte gold (brass nailheads on sofa) or paint it white or something else to help it stand out from grey walls. Sorry the wall color looks purple...it's Behr Fashion Grey. Ideas? Thanks!

I have a similar color on my walls and they look purple too.
Add more items with the mirror, a collection of anything interesting.
A pattern rug, striped a different pattern from the chairs. Maybe floor tiles, flor.com
The trunk looks better at the foot of a bed.
At the windows, floor to ceiling panels to cut down on the glare.
Then add upholstered bench in front of the window about the size of the indentation, nothing small.

I think the mirror should be a little bit lower still.
I agree that the mirror looks a little small or lonely--the size of the overall piece is really nice but the mirror itself is a bit small and doesn't make as much of an impact. I love what you have done so far, though--looking forward to seeing what you add :)
