Need help/advice with beige sofa in living room!
All I've got is a beige sofa. I need help with finding two matching chairs, coffee table and rug. My preference is to go neutrals with accent colors. Any ideas or help?

cmcole1121 i think you have real flexibility when it comes to other furniture to compliment your sofa. I would recommend against trying to match chairs to the sofa, instead find chairs that compliment but don't match (maybe a print)? I would recommend uploading more pictures of your room - many on here can provide great advice if they have a better sense of the entire space.

carolins Hi Vivien,

So... the only thing we know is that you have a fantastic space with a stunning view and a gorgeous floor. You like clean lined furniture in neutral colours. As chistinemcole mentioned, it would be great if you could upload more photos of the space.

It's a bit difficult to give you suggestions, but for a start... some ideas for you to give your feedback on (just because I like virtual shopping and enjoy putting rooms together ;-)) I've gone for greys in these examples. You could put colour accents in with paintings, art glass, throw cushions if you like...

High Camp Home Hi There! You have some really great options here. You could easily do a solid warm color to contrast with your beige couch. If you want to pick up on the warm tones, I would suggest picking out brown side chairs. You can also pick up on the neutral colors by adding a pop of color (pillow example).

lessismoore Also, a good way for posters to give anyone constructive advice is for us to take a peek at your "ideabooks." That way we can get an idea of what you like (regardless of what you have/are starting with).
and get a feel for what you like :-)

mpoulsom 2 chairs in a neutral with a table between them, with a fun rug that will work with almost any splash of color you may want...
a cool mobile to hang near the windows....not this purple and white, but something modern and fun that doesn't obstruct your awesome view! Beautiful place!!!!!
And a tall piece of sculpture in the room....forgot about that one!

Vivien Chuang Wow, thanks for all your suggestions and comments. I've posted some more pictures of the overall space. The sofa was a bit bigger than what I thought, so I'm also struggling with the size of the matching chairs (not too big or the room seem too small and not too small or else the sofa will overpower the room).

mpoulsom I would either do a coffee table something like this...or do a round one that is painted some fun color in between your neutral couch and chairs. (I was going to say do a fun colored base coffee table with a glass round top, but with that much glass in the place, it may be a constant battle with the dust you would see.) ??? I am not an every day duster however, so it depends on you... :)

oops forgot to post pic...

and now seeing the other side of the wall and you talking about space, maybe a rectangular table would be better for you or a rectangular ottoman?

lessismoore Gorgeous space - what's your favorite color? Mpoulson is right on with a mobile, sculpture - I could so see winged victory in here ... well, maybe that's a bit much :-)

mjmil Your space is beautiful and you are off to a great start with the sofa. It is a good neutral in color and style. I think an ottoman would give you flexibility in your space - it could be used as a coffee table or extra seating.

mpoulsom I also think you should find a cool floor lamp to stand between the column and the couch....maybe an uplighted shade...
