Log cabin colors
August 26, 2013 in Design Dilemma
I need help with picking out colors to decorate my log cabin. I am trying to lighten it up a bit as it is all logs and cedar siding in it. I don't want it to look any darker as there are black appliances which look nice so I will use some black accents and may actually go with a black soapstone countertop. PIc shows the color of the walls plus how do I decorate with that stove in there, should I kind of ignore it? (I may in the future take it out and put a small corner fireplace in). It's a very small living room, 12 x 14 and I need to find a sofa and chairs, etc. I basically have two walls to work with and the rest is open. One small wall going up to loft I can put the tv by and possibly a chair, but do I go with sofa/loveseat, or sofa and a couple of wicker wing chairs from Pier One? I want it to be cozy and comfy though, so maybe wicker isn't so comfy. I bought an off white/whitewashed trunk to use in there with black hinges on it. I'm thinking pale blues, creams, browns. Any inspiration will be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!
