Front yard makeover desparately needed
September 6, 2013 in Design Dilemma
We've lived here 9 yrs and I'm finally ready to breathe new life into our front yard curb appeal. I live in the Tampa Bay area. The dirt area was lined with overgrown green liriope that I've now split to reuse in the front and around our pool/waterfall area out back. I was thinking about intermingling variegated liriope for a border. The hedge is indian hawthorne and to the right of it is a gardenia that has seen better days. The back left bed is also lined with overgrown green liriope. Hidden behind that is a croton, 2 pink azalea, an alamanda and jasmine on a small lattice. I would like to keep the stone pillars and perhaps mortar a stone top to finish it off. The ficus tree was in my front entrance and at one point losing leaves. In its current spot it looks much more healthy and filling back out. I would like to incorporate that into the new design. Next project is to repaint house to correspond with new roof color and stone face. I would LOVE your comments and input. We're ready to get going this weekend!!
