Help!! Where/how to mitre/miter corners of countertops?
September 16, 2013 in Design Dilemma
I am seeking professional help and suggestions on how best to mitre/miter the corners in my kitchen counters. I have a U-shaped area between the stove (close up is shown too) and sink with 2- 90 degree corners. The laminate has a distinctly horizontal pattern to it. I assumed to just miter in the corner rather butt join on the outside of the turn(s). Shouldn't the pattern direction "stay the same" no matter which counter I am facing? Please look at my sketch and disregard the A, B,C etc. The counter area in question is the middle top of the page below one side of the bar top. I have included some pix of the laminate- "Petrified Wood" so you can see what I mean. Thanks, I want to be sure before they start to cut it up.
