Variety is the spice of life, and there's nowhere better to get a little spicy than in the kitchen. Display a range of materials and colors in pasta drawers for fun variety.

You can also display pasta in your kitchen without a renovation, of course. Simply fill jars with dry pastas and show them off on your countertop for an instant pasta-drawer effect.

dynamh As a person currently suffering through a cigarette beetle infestation (from a tainted bag of grocery store barley), I urge you to be careful with this approach. You should be able to avoid contamination by first freezing your dry goods for a week or so. Pastas, as described in this article, should generally be safe, but I would avoid doing this with beans, lentils, barley, unless you've frozen them for a while, or have other assurances that it does not contain eggs/larvae. Apologies from the "gross factor"--I just wouldn't want anybody else to go through what i'm going through!

Mercer Home Solutions Good tip dynamh, you have to be very careful! This seems like a great idea for anyone looking to make their kitchen a little more efficient while also giving it a fun look.

jotrueman everything has that potential that you buy and it is normally eaten in a short space of time but when on display and forgotten about. I suggest using what you go through and have them as a working drawer USED as well as looking good I love people who have and use all these goodies on display I am too busy working to be that organised but try

scarbowcow Dynamh, you addressed exactly what I was wondering about.

It would be nice to see inside one of these drawers, as I have difficulty picturing the idea of the partition that separates display from storage. What does that mean? Is it meant to shove a small part of the stored item in front of the window while behind it you've got the stuff in bags or something?

Rough Linen I worry about silverfish too - don't want my pasta and beans with added protein! I think I'll stick to screwtop jars.

Renee I think they would look cool with baking things like cookie cutters and sprinkles
