Houzz Call: Show Us Your Holiday Mantel
Do reindeer prance or lights dance above your fireplace during the holidays? Share your decorated mantel with us
Houzz Contributor. Hi There! I currently live in a 1920s cottage in Atlanta that I'll describe as "collected." I got into design via Landscape Architecture, which I studied at the University of Virginia. I've been writing about design online for quite a few years over at Hatch: The Design Public Blog.

Festive Houzzers, please show us your holiday mantels! We would love to see how you decorate around the fireplace. Do you hang your stockings there, and if so, how? Do you have access to magnolia and boxwood branches, or is it strictly fir and pinecones for you? Are lights involved? Please tell us about and post pictures of your holiday mantel in the Comments section below. Your pictures could be used in a future ideabook on Houzz.
Interior designer Tobi Fairley integrated lemons and oranges into this festive mantel garland.
This decorator has curated a beautiful mantel that combines greens and household decorative objects, including a fluted bowl, a charming little bird and a distressed box, all of which tie together via their creamy white hues. The result is a sophisticated country look.
This mantel creates a holiday feel without using any evergreen trimmings. Designer Sandra Howie says she likes to create a mantel in her own home that "is both simple and sparkly with a bit of rustic and a bit of modern." She's picked a beautiful palette of textures and arranged them in a balanced way.
So, Houzzers, show 'em if ya got 'em! Please share your own holiday mantels with everyone in the Comments section.
