riconsd Not to be too picky but the house in AL is a hybrid with Spanish Colonial. Neff and Smith are local favs and what Gill did with the forms is brilliant.

Fine Art & Portraits by Laurel When I lived in California and painted murals, this was one of my favorite styles. It's very warm and gracious, without being too ostentatious.

barb7918 I love all of these pics. One of my favorite things about this style is the use of handpainted tiles on everything from fireplaces to risers on steps and fountains. I also love the red tile roofs and white stucco. When I see this style I automatically think of California. Very nice!

Dana Veach I love the covered porticos, arches, tile roofs, interior courtyards, wooden beams, and stucco walls. The way light plays across these spaces is wondrous. Similar features can be found in the Territorial Spanish styles of New Mexico that intermingled with traditional Adobe homes...I was in love with these styles in my childhood in Santa Fe.

Chris Kiser this is the style! around here in so cal/ low desert.... if you feel the influence and climate, not to mention gorgeous views ...its very earth centered and natural.... were spoiled!!! with nature and its ease of use in design

Carved Custom Cabinets Hope this image attaches to my comment....Where Art, Artisan and Imagination meet.This is a kitchen & bath project that has been totally refaced in a 1928 Spanish Colonial Revival Style home in Santa Barbara, Ca by Carved Custom Cabinets. (www.carvedcustomcabinets.com) The transformation marrying the home and cabinets delighted the owners & was a seamless fit within their budget constraints in a historic home. The cabinets that were replaced had been painted white and then glazed to "update" the kitchen and baths. The period Mission Style was compromised by the Cape Cod cabinetry and sang in tune with the historically correct style.
