amy_davidson I just learned that Salem is an abbreviation for Jerusalem, which means 'Peace'. What a wonderfully peaceful home in Salem for CHRISTmas!!

calidesign The wall colors in some of these homes are so beautiful. I love the combination of the blue/green and the coral/pink rooms with the white trim.

mrsmayer My husband and I do this tour each year. It was a lovely cottage selection this year, and while these photos are pretty, you are missing the oceans views which really make the homes special!

Mary Prince Thank you everyone for your comments. To be in such a special town to photograph the individuality of each home was a real treat for me. And my guide, Julie, was the best. The homeowners were wonderful. My assignment was to capture holiday decor so everyone has a chance to get ideas from the photos. It would have been a lot of fun to photograph the rooms and their views of Salem Harbor, but that wasn't possible due to the geography of the decor and the close up photos required to make this photo-story. If anyone knows a homeowner in Salem with a house on the water that would be interested in being the subject of a "My Houzz Tour", please let me know. I promise I will capture the water views from the home.
