Sketches of Frank Gehry by Sydney Pollack - $9.13 [ Link ]
I cannot say enough good things about this documentary about Frank Gehry. The late director Sydney Pollack broke stodgy doc rules by taking an active part in it, and it's so much more interesting because he did. Gehry even allowed Pollack access to his therapist. Even someone with no interest in architecture will find this a fascinating addition to his DVD collection.

Lily Gahagan I firmly believe that every home needs a gnome. We blame all the mysteriously eaten cookies, spills and other mishaps on him — makes for more peaceful living.

Heather Braun Becky, I always love your posts. Thanks for another great one. Now I have ideas for some people who are hard to buy for.... I'm gonna get shoppin'. Can you believe that moustache coffee mug? Perfect for my brother-in-law.

rerbo All the items under $10 seem OK but a lot of the items are way overpriced or just trying to be pretentious for no reason. Case in point, two regular lined notebooks for $12.50 when you can get one for under $1.00 with a print on them similar to the ones shown. A "reclaimed wood" cribbage board? Does the fact that it is "reclaimed make it $15 more expensive that a "new wood" one? You can get a nice one at CVS for under $10. Lastly, a $40 soap dispenser, from the brookstone? Sorry, but a lot of this stuff you can find in the skymall magazine on airplanes.

jlwms123 I love these candle shades from crossfirecreations on Etsy. They're hollow on the bottom and a votive or fuel cell makes them look like pillar. Gift-wrapped for $24? I may have to try it......

Becky Harris Karen, Clocky is all over the place - try googling "nanda clocky". I think Design Public still has it. I saw him on the Ellen show a few weeks ago so I imagine that caused a big surge in Clocky sales!
