Want to create a gallery wall or update an existing display? Think outside the frame and personalize your collection by tucking in meaningful objects among your favorite photos and art. Clipboards, cloud shelves and metal envelopes let you show off a rotating display of kids' artwork, Lego creations or seasonal prints. Now I just need to take my own advice and fill that blank wall in front of me with all the photos, art and goodies I've been collecting! — Elaina from Fun Finds for Mom

| Float one of these metal shelves, and adorn it with your favorite tiny trinkets. I might feature a Lego creation of the week from my kids' growing collection. |

If you like to switch out your art frequently, you could make an entire gallery wall with clipboards. I'm thinking of adding a few clipboards to show off my daughter's latest art projects.

In general, hanging plates seems a little old-fashioned to me. I might make an exception for the modern-looking plates at Bleuline Interiors on Etsy.

Inexpensive frames can be found at Ikea or Target. Choose one or two colors for a unified look. I have a stack of these white Ribba frames right next to me on my desk and a blank wall in front of me begging to be turned into a gallery wall.

Like the chalk boards and bulletin boards... they can be changed at a whim to project your current thinking and likes, moods and are so useful for notes and reminders.
I have been wanting to put a chalkboard on my front porch to write meaningful notes; scripture, quotes, gardening plans... whatever. Good ideas! Thanks.
I have added some of my favorite wall displays. I love my old black frame. I change it out when the mood strikes. Right now I have my grandma's flour sack displayed in it. The green frame is also used for changing out whatever is important at the moment. The turquoise frame has one of my father's old pieces of music from 1927.
Great ideas here.
Also, this is exactly the idea I'm trying to execute above my computer desk. I just finally bought the perfect clock and am looking for a bulletin board to add. Thanks for the other ideas. I especially like the galvanized envelope.
(The site that sells the galvanized envelope is having some issues, so I found another source: http://www.valhallalaser.com/-galvanized-tin-envelope-p124.php)
