midmodfan I do own quite a few coffee table books, but I don't put them on the coffee table. The 'message' they emit seems a bit too obvious to me.

That said, I LOVE coffee table books in other people's homes! They tell you something about the dweller and are a perfect conversation starter if you need one.

gknee I need to visit the coffee table book section more often. Especially jonesing the Grace Coddington book. She's a vey lovely, down to earth woman whose apartment has been featured in some ideabooks here.
