olldbobbi I love that bike! I wonder if it comes with peddle brakes as an option, I can't get the hang of the hand brakes.

loverly4 Who makes that beautiful sconce?
Michael We moved from Vancouver, B.C. one of the highest rated and most beautiful cities in the world to Marin County California over a year ago. It was the perfect choice for 2 people who had to move from away from paradise. California is an amazing, beautiful and original state filled with diversity.

Erika Johnson Thank you all for the very sweet comments! L.A. Lady, I'm so glad you adore the desk, too!

Loverly4, the sconce is available through Lamps Plus. So glad you like it!

Olidbobby, I agree that pedal breaks are easier to maneuver. :)

Michael, thank you for your comment. You've made me even more excited for an upcoming spring trip to Vancouver! Thank you!

riconsd $700 for a water logged surf board! I'll sell you my late 70's and 80's boards for 250 and you can still use them (if you weigh less than 130lbs).

Erika Johnson Riconsd: Vintage boards? I just might take you up on that!!! ;)

stargazer51 I rode my daughter's beach cruiser when we visited her in Encinitas (Paradise!) and I thought I was going to kill myself (I'm used to hand brakes). Or maybe it was because we were riding along Neptune Ave. and I couldn't stop craning my neck looking at all the magnificent houses.

bzybbon California dreaming? Over-regulated, over-taxed, over-priced, over-rated....and I've been here for over-40 years and will likely die here unless my husband decides we can leave.

A seaside bungalow....now that's something in my pocketbook, in my dreams ;p

mamadama bzybbon, Born and bred here in Cali and starting to feel the same way. If the weather wasn't so much better than almost any where else, and our house wasn't paid for.....

vmurphy928 My car's license plate is Cali Drm. It's a Pennsylvania plate - currently covered with icky salt from the latest snow forecast. I LOVE California. I will find a way to live my golden years there, at least 1/2 of the year. Fortunately, I have already begun to dislike "stuff and clutter" and will be happy to live in a small space. The weather alone is what I'm looking for. Hell, I'll live on a campsite. As long as it's in Southern California!

rbchfamily The desk is incredible. You can't beat Southern California Coast. It's 75 degrees today at the beach with a wonderful breeze.

stargazer51 I've lived in places all over California for 56 years and can't imagine living anywhere else. It was 70 degrees here in Sonoma County today.

sartarehare Yeah....I'm a native L.A. girl, currently living in the Pacific NW. When our weather is awful, I get really nostalgic. Lived all over CA but it's funny how it's the place you grew up that starts to nag you back. But then I remember all that time in the car....something I don't have to do here. Grass is always greener. Oh well.

lara_jane I thoroughly underestimated Dash & Albert's style! I thought they did only bland stripes! I love this rug!

And yes, California girl, born and bred, but now in exile. I need that print. I miss my home sweet home. The weather here in the midwest is depressing!

A & D Glass Inc. I'm a SoCal native, I have never lived anywhere else, and my dream is to move to Hawaii - it's too cold here!!
lc29 That looks a lot like my bike and yes, I ride it to one of the local farmers markets frequently. Other than the great weather here in SoCal, one of the big benefits is all the fresh produce available at the farmers markets.
