Motifs: A Month of Mustache Love
Guys grow whiskers in November to raise awareness for men's health. Maybe your home should sprout some, too
Hi There! I currently live in a 1920s cottage in Atlanta that I'll describe as "collected."
I got into design via Landscape Architecture, which I studied at the University of Virginia. I've been writing about design online for quite a few years over at Hatch: The Design Public Blog.

Have you noticed the gents sprouting more than a bit of peach fuzz this month? Chances are, if they don't sport a 'stache during the rest of the year, they are growing one as part of the month of Movember to raise funds and awareness for men's health issues, including the Prostate Cancer Foundation and LIVESTRONG.
So guys, learn how to donate your mustache growing funds at Movember.com, and ladies, if you don't want to have a Liz Lemon Tom Selleck moment, don't worry, just find a folically gifted friend to support.
Movember has started a mustache trend that lasts all year, so even if you don't have one on your face, you can have one on your vase. Here are some favorite mustached goods.

| What better way to kick off a mustache ideabook than with the most iconic mustache of our time, the one belonging to Mr. Tom Selleck? This pillow actually has a 3-D fuzzy mustache on it, and the faux bois background on the pillow is fab. This picture was taken by Nanette Labastida during a Modern Home Tour in Austin, so Magnum P.I. is helping to keep Austin weird. Private Comment

We're about a week into Movember already, but it's not too late to catch up. Here's a funny little book to help you pick which kind of mustache to grow and how to do it.

I am gaga over all things from my neighbor Blabla. This kooky pillow is a little bit Chaplin and a little bit Sesame street, making it a fun pick for a kid's room or a conversation piece as a carry-on.

When I spied these mugs at Paper Source I knew they would make the perfect bathroom cup, good for corralling old-fashioned shaving equipment or toothbrushes.

Eyes, a few accessories and a mustache here and there transform numbers into playful characters. This is a great print for a nursery and a toddler's room.

You are so original, Becky! What a great way to begin my birthday today with laughing at all the mustache motifs. I had a hard time selecting my favorite-the nursery, the dog toys, or maybe the hold me tight pillow.

As soon as I saw this ideabook, I knew I had to have that pillow. It took a bit of Googling, but I finally found it! I wanted to pass the website on for anyone else who can't live without a Tom Selleck pillow (or Chuck Norris or Burt Reynolds pillows, for that matter). http://www.bolsabonita.com/

ktmitch, so funny, I can't believe I forgot about Burt - my parents were visiting a few weeks ago and somehow we wound up watching Stroker Ace on cable and cracked up through the whole thing :)
