JMA

Home built by JMA (Jim Murphy and Associates); designed by Backen Arrigoni & Ross. Photo credit, Matthew Millman.

Anchored into a steep hillside, this BAR design overlooks the Dry Creek Valley and is surrounded by vineyards. From the massive architectural concrete walls to the standing seam metal roof, this residence and guesthouse evoke a European feel. Inside, heated concrete floors, plaster walls, premium finish carpentry, and even an elevator communicate permanence and quality.

This is a good example of "stepping down" a deck in front of a house with a view.

Speaking of decks, imagine how gorgeous the view from this one would be just as the leaves change.

From the architects: "Anchored into a steep hillside, this BAR design overlooks the Dry Creek Valley and is surrounded by vineyards. From the massive architectural concrete walls to the standing seam metal roof, this residence and guesthouse evoke a European feel." I couldn't have set it any better than that.
