Michael Abrams Limited Thanks for the kind words - I think you can mimic the palette and lines but white painted trim & stained oak are very different. If you have not selected a stain I would tell you to avoid the light and yellow options. I would suggest a Jacobean stain. Good luck.

J Snurk I was very happy with it. It was not darker then we expected. That's why I was shocked that this was the same color. We didn't use Benjamin Moore paint though. We had it color matched in Valspar paint from Lowes.

Michael Abrams Limited Actually they metals are both nickel in a brushed finished. Avoid mixing metals like brass and nickel. Mixing finishes like polished and brushed is fine.

rayrum I cant tell if the canned lights are rimmed with white or brushed steel. Which did you use and does it make a big difference on style. We are painting our walls a greige color, walls half the whie of the grey. Which would you recommend? White or steel rimmed canned lights?

The tray ceiling and wood trim here act like acoustic tiles, providing more nooks, crannies and surfaces for sound to wrap around. I like the lighter color palate on the walls making a nice contrast against darker furniture. The open concept and light fixtures add brightness when there's not enough window light coming through.
