I love faux bois anything!

great to use for things other than wrapping presents too. maybe a book cover, or glued on outside of old coffee can for storage. wrapped around a candle. glued on a piece of foam core to make the basis for a fun vintage looking sign. cut out letters to glue on from newspapers or magazines. maybe cover a frame with it for a picture or mirror, using modge podge.

You could freehand or paint a woodgrain design on good paper and wrap empty tea tins to make that green log gift tin ... cute, and more fun to make your own.
