Interiors Thanks Loria611: Stingray, like many greys, does change quite a bit in the light. It never gets too dark in this home, but there is also excessive natural light so there is a nice balance. I would test it in the rooms you're concerned about for sure!

I would recommend asking with a local installer regarding ease of installation. The onsite team did not have any issues at this residence, however every space has it's own requirements.

Interiors I think it would be beautiful! I would suggest that you speak with a local designer since I'm not familiar with the space, however. You'll need to keep in mind the scale of the lighting, height of the cabinets, and island size... but overall you could take the same concept and translate it into a space with a sloped ceiling.This ceiling is 10', so you/your architecht or kitchen designer (if you are using one) would need to keep this in mind. Interiors I'd recommend looking at a variety of images on houzz to see how white appliances play with whites, and other colors. You will want to make sure that if you do choose a white, that it remains in the same tonal range as your appliances. Appliance colors vary by manufacturer, so I'm hesitant to tell you that Dove White is the right fit. Hope this helps, and good luck to you!

phiwwy This kitchen makes me rethink my light placement: My kitchen layout is very similar. I've planned to center the recessed lights over the walkway, rather than over the edges of the countertops. I will only have 1 row of recessed lights. Will that be ok if they are centered over the walk space? I want to make sure i have enough light over the island (which will have 2 pendants, it's 8' long). I will have under cabinet lights on the long perimeter wall. Thanks!

custom built to match and distressed by hand. All of the baseboards were painted so it was not an issue. If your project includes exposed stair treads (vs carpet) be sure to ask what options exist with whatever product you choose! Good luck!

Interiors We're in the Seattle area. This flooring has a very natural brown tone to it, with no real hint of yellow/orange at all. Photos are always very hard to read, but think of natural brown tones in a mid-range and you'd be good to go with this palate. Note that some wood species set the tone of your floors (cherry, for example pulls red, white oak is pretty true to color), so be sure to have your floor installer do a sample test on your floors if you're finishing them in place. Also, if using Swedish finish on top, it can sometimes pull your color a little yellow. To get it right, just run a test patch on the floors before approving the color. These floors, per our client's request, are engineered and were pre-finished, so the color tone was already established.

I'm a bit confused on what you meant by Destressed hardwoods do maintenance issues over time when screening comes inti play. I don't understand what "screening" is and what kind of issues may arise. I'm only asuming that the look of "worn out wood" with dents, etc mean that cleaning may be difficult due to dirt sitting in the grooves.

naoumoff Is the pop-up ventilation on the cooktop also Electrolux? Does it take up the entire cabinet below the cooktop?

Interiors I would recommend speaking with your appliance vendor about ways to vent a downdraft, and downdrafts that can accommodate the Electrolux (I am not sure if this downdraft is Thermador or Electrolux, to be honest). There are internal and external blower options that are available based on your kitchen design and construction. Best of luck!

Interiors Thank you! It's recommended that drawers not be installed under cooktops. The "drawer" in the photo is a panel but is treated with hardware for aesthetic purposes only. Interiors It's the Vetro tile.

Interiors I would recommend taking a sample of your stained wood to a granite yard that has Kashmir on site, or getting a sample of it to look @ in your space. It's difficult for me to to comment without seeing all of the other elements in your space and the actual tone of your wood. Good luck!

Interiors The ceilings are 10', so the homeowner preferred that they die into the soffits at around 9' for usability. They are custom cabinets and were built by Jesse Bay Cabinetry out of Port Angeles, WA.

Interiors Granite slabs vary greatly. White Kashmir is fairly available nationwide, so I would recommend that you visit a slab yard to see the variations. There are other photos of this kitchen on houzz that offer a closer look at the granite - the darker earth tones in this particular slab are brown. Hope that helps!
