If you look very closely you can see a clear glass or plastic insert on all the shelves...easier to see on the bottom shelves.

This is a brilliant idea I think I'll steal for my next kitchen! So glad I saw this!

I can detect a little clear boundary on the shelves, beautifully done. If you click on "more info" beneath the photo, you'll see the designer's website link. I'll bet they can give you more info!

This is a custom made piece. It currently resides with a happy client in New Hampshire, but we cusomize these pieces all of the time.

Currently there is a similar one in our showroom, Venegas and Company, in the Boston Design Center....
