Converted our crawl space into a storage area since the winter of 2012/2013 collapse our sheet metal shed. It was butt ugly anyway. Three feet of snow on it was evidently just too much. We added columns of decorative stone & designed and built our own crawl space doors.

In one photo below you will see a 'before' pic of plastic siding. This year (september 2014) we took it down and replaced it with our diy louvered doors which were painted in a custom color (brown w/reddish tint) enamel so it mimics wood stain. Per each louver there is a single screw on each side...so the louvers can be closed for the winter time to prevent cold wind drafts. Instead of closing the louvers though i instead installed 3/8" thick rigid board insulation on back of the doors (This area never gets wet via rain)
